Abstract:
The excavational data of the basilica of the Philippi Museum imply the following results concerning the location of its diaconico. In the original plan of the basilica there was a special room for the storage of the offerings, the lists with the names of the donators, the division of the offerings into thanking, which were moved to the Berna and the others which were stored in the room of the clergy. The developing service led in the second half of the 6th century to the appearance of two adjacent room, in the eastern part of the church. The original diaconico —anannex in the northwestern angle of the church, received the offerings for the clergy and it was also used for the list of the names of the donators, which would be later memorized at the prothesis
