A. Europos The research project in the area of ancient Europos, which is carried out with the collaboration of the Geophysical Faculty of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, was proceeded. A vaulted tomb with two chambers and a monumental entrance was excavated. The tomb had been originally discovered by Kotzias, but it was afterwards filled up with earth. The new excavation yielded a room which could accommodate three klinai.15 more tile-covered graves, most of them without grave-goods were found. B. Palaeo Gynaikokastro A small part of the Iron Age settlement extended on the hill with the Byzantine castle was excavated almost with no result. Two rectangular rooms in terraced arrangement, facing to the east were discovered. The lower room was probably used for storage. C. Kilkis Museum A new exhibition was organized in the Museum of Kilkis. Sculpture, small find sand pottery were added in the new cases, while maps and texts accompanied the artifacts. The exhibition also includes finds from the excavation at Palaeo Gynaikokastro, and mainly pottery and grave-goods, while replicas of the peribolos and the burial platform are also exhibited.
