Abstract:
Parts of three building blocks (building A, building B, Hellenistic house Γand the streets and pipes between them) came to light during the excavation of the Papakyriakou’s building-ground in the southwestern part of the wall of the ancient city. The size of the Hellenistic private house Γ is about 440 sq. m.; the larger rooms (22 sq. m.) are organized along the three sides of the building, while in the Hellenistic period the entrance was located at the southern side. The size of the central Roman court-yard is about 70 sq. m. and it is very well preserved. Finally, the evidence provided by the streets suggests the existence of a rectilinear (Hippodamian) grid
