Abstract:
In 1980 an excavation in the building plot owned by Vasiliki Karayeoryou at Stylida uncovered in the fill of a Late Roman house a marble statuette, pres. h. 0,48 m., depicting the god Dionysus as a naked standing boy in his puberty leaning on a support in the form of a tree- trunk. It is a late 2nd or early 3rd c. AD Roman copy of a probably 4th c. BC original.
