Observation on the genesis of Stoic philosophy

Abstract:
The genesis of the Stoic Philosophy was probably initiated from the fatal battle of 2nd August, 338 b.C. at Chaironeia. That battle disolved entirely the State of Athens and created for athenians the climate for their moral salvation, since «το παν άπώλετο». Subsequently and simultaneously with the conservative trend of the Stoics, the trend of «αδιάφορον» of the Epicureans was born, serving the other aspect of conservatism, namely that of the human «ευδαιµονία». As infrastructure for the above served the old «δόγµατα» of «κυνικών» and «κυρηναϊκών».
