Abstract:
This church in Traianoupolis, measuring 11.25 x 6.15 m. comprises of a narthex, a naos and an apse, semicircular inside and outside. The main church was possibly single-aisle domed and of a cruciform plan, with only the west bays filled with masonry. The narthex had a vaulted roof. The long walls were externally articulated with vaults. The monument is dated between the twelfth and fourteenth centuries, most probably in the first half of the fourteenth century, a period in which Traianoupolis is considered to have been destroyed.
