Abstract:
The abandoned Tsatsaris monastery is located near the village of Asopia in Boeotia. The katholikon, a small church of a four-columned cross-in-square type with a narthex, is dedicated to Prophet Elijah. The south part of the church, namely the south bays, part of the cross arm and the narthex, was cut off and a wall was built in its stead. The main phase can be dated, with reservations, to around the third quarter of the twelfth century, while the narthex dates to the thirteenth century.
