Abstract:
Excavations in the area of Agia Triada, near the village Dramesioi in Epirus, uncovered a small bathhouse with the standard three-part division (frigidarium, tepidarium, caldarium). The eastern hall of the caldarium was a later addition. Even later, the openings of the tepidarium hypocaust were walled and its praefurnium was put out of use. Two 4th century copper follis were found in the service area of the caldarium. A similar chronology is suggested by the existence of basins for individual bathing and by the multiplication of the cold areas. A small part of an ex- tended residential complex, of not yet defined use, was ex- cavated west of the bath-house.
