Abstract:
This article deals with the despotic icon of the enthroned Virgin and Child bearing the appellation the Virgin Kardiovastazousa (97×63,5×2 cm) from the church of the Presentation of the Theotokos in the settlement of Kallone (Perpene) on Mt. Parnon, which is kept at the Conservation Workshop at Mystras. The representation is linked to known works of the Cretan School and is dated to the beginning of the 16th century.
